My name is Aleida and I have been renting rooms in my Casa Particular Cuba since 1997. That's 11 years of experience in the accommodation business. Some of our guests have written their testimony regarding their stay in our home; you can read those testimonies in the gallery.
With our family (3 persons) you will find the hospitality of the Cuban people. Also you will have privacy, comfort and security. My Casa Particular is appropriate for a family and friends that prefect to stay together, as well as for individuals who want to visit Cuba. We offer all the commodities you need for a pleasant holiday in Havana. We offer two clean and comfortable rooms, with air conditioner, minibar service, TV, fan, CD Players, telephone, safe, hot and cold water bathroom and balcony with a view to the outside where you can enjoy with the sun setting. Location advantages: Our apartment is within walking distance from the street 23, the Malecon, the Almendares River and the Forest of Havana, near the Hotel El Bosque, with its swimming pool and access to the Internet and about 5 Km. of the Habana Vieja. It's easy to move to other places in the city bus or taxi. Nearby tourist attractions: A few blocks away is the central 23 and 12 with its cafes, restaurants, banks, cinemas, the famous Cemetery of Colon and John Lennon Park, not far is the Plaza of the Revolution. Kundenbewertung:Franziska Steiger (Thursday, 19 February 2009)Wertung:  I can highly recommend this Casa Particular de Aleida Ravelo located in Vedado on Calle 28 (entre 23 y 25). My original plan to spend just 1 or 2 weeks in Havana, was amended after a few days in the city due to the interesting city itself, the great people I met but also to my host Aleida and her family. Finally, I ended staying with them for 4 weeks and I enjoyed every day. Not only are the rooms very nice, clean and spacious. They rent two rooms, one with a twin and one with a double bed. Both also have, besides the standard furniture, a phone, a TV and a fridge. The later one even has a nice balcony facing Miramar. Both rooms share one bathroom with warm water. Aleida, with her friendly and caring personality, is an amazing host. She is really helpful and well connected when it comes to organizing activities in Havana as well as trips outside the city or getting tickets for cultural events. She will call the cab company and get you a great deal! Regarding the food, I can say that Cuba in general is not a place you come to for food. For me, a spoilt German girl living in Toronto, the food in most restaurants was mediocre. Especially, when your intention is to eat healthy or/and vegetarian/vegan, you will have to spend more time finding appropriate places than you might have to in other countries. All the more I enjoyed la camida in my Casa Particular. The breakfast consisting of buns, eggs, fruits, coffee and even a fruit smoothie is as great, delicious and filling as the dinner with potatoes, rice, vegetables, salad and meat. Due to Aleida?s cooking skills, I ate at home almost every night. Stay here and you will have a great time! Aleida can speak English a little bit and will be able to understand your emails in English. |
