Page 3 of 3 Water sports, diving With the longest submerged platform of all the islands in the Caribbean, Cuba treasures -on its archipelagos natural islands and beaches? an impressive marine biodiversity. The temperature of the waters surrounding the Island ranges between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius and the horizontal visibility is between 20 and 30 meters, what allows the Diving International Center to keep open all year long, besides offering accommodations and other interesting offers. In its countless bays, cays, mangrove swamps and reefs exist over 500 fish varieties, among them stand out the barracudas, the jocuses, the red snappers and the cajíes as well as a number of sponges and mollusks which complement the beauty of the submarine bottoms. Abundant black corals and other species of much beauty can be seen a few meters deep, thus providing a wide range of colors highlighted by the tropical sun which has a constant effect on the waters of the Cuban beaches. Cuban Diving Centers are outstanding for being equipped with the equipments that the international standards have set for the immersions and they are served by professionals acknowledged by the World Confederation for Underwater Activities.
